Black Stars forward, Jordan Ayew, has called for patience from Ghanaians following the senior national team's disappointing performance in the October international friendlies.

Ghana concluded their friendlies this month with a demoralizing 4-0 loss to the United States of America at GEODIS Park in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday morning.

Giovanni Reyna's first-half brace and additional goals from Christian Pulisic and Folarin Balogun led to a humbling defeat for Chris Hughton and his team.

In a post-match interview, Ayew emphasized that most of the current Black Stars players are inexperienced and need time to establish themselves.

"First of all, I feel like we need a bit of time because it is a new group with a lot of new players, and most of the players are inexperienced, so it is not easy. But we are working on it because we know we don't have time, and these types of games serve as a reality check," Ayew stated.

The four-time African champions will now shift their focus to the World Cup qualifiers in November. Ghana will kick off the qualification round against Madagascar on November 13, followed by a match against Comoros on November 21, ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Cote D'Ivoire next year.
