The Phobians are stocked with talented footballers. The club is blessed with significant numbers. There are still an influx of unwanted players still been paid for doing little to nothing and increasing the wage bill of the club.
Some of these players are young and are finding it extremely difficult to break into the Hearts team but could thrive in another setting. As sometimes can happen with transfers, it seems to have simply been a case of being in the wrong place at the right time for them.
Perhaps a fresh start with other clubs would be of immense help to the players and Hearts of Oak in the not too distant future.
Kickgh.com attempts to pick out eleven players that should try to push through a brief move away from Hearts of Oak.
James Sewornu
The centre-back was promoted from Auroras when Kim Grant assumed office as the manager of the club. Last term, he made appearances as a centre-back and was occasionally assigned a right-back role. His contract was recently extended but his game time will certainly be limited.
He could learn so much more playing week in week out at low- fancied club. I’m sure a raft of clubs would love to get him signed on loan.
Victor Aidoo
The Ghanaian giants signed Aidoo from Samartex in 2020. He shoned briefly and found himself out of the Hearts starting XI due to his inconsistencies. He was loaned to RTU last season but...
Aidoo doesn't appear to be greatly valued by Samuel Boadu the as the Hearts coach has recently brought in Yassan Ouachting and Junior Kaaba back to provide competition in attack.
Franklin Owusu
The forward was promoted from Auroras at the beginning of last season. Owusu has found it extremely difficult to break into the Hearts team.
With the availability of Kojo Obeng Junior, Daniel Afriyie, Junior Kaaba and Yassan Ouatching, the youngster’s game time would surely be limited. He could learn so much more playing week in week out at low- fancied club. I’m sure a raft of clubs would love to get him signed on loan.
Bernard Obuor
A no-brainer—if Obour isn’t going to be handed more regular game time, he should be allowed to head out on loan.
He’s a tremendous midfield sensation, Premier League standard, and deserves the chance to show exactly how well he can do. Limited to the bench has stagnated his development. Obuor needs games.
Daniel Yeboah
A forward tipped for the top, but he has barely impacted at all at Hearts. Yeboah is another who, like Obuor, needs game time to shine.
There’s no real way to say whether Yeboah could be of the standard required right now because he hasn’t had enough time to show what he can do. A temporary move away would be ideal, but he has a lot of work to do to impress enough to feature going forward.
Razak Ali
The young forward was highly-rated when he was snapped up by the Phobians last two seasons, but has failed to truly push on. With the quality available at the club's attacking department, a loan to a lower-tier side would certainly be of immense blessing to the player and the club.
Issah Kukah
Issah Kukah has not had the best of times since his promotion to Hearts' first team from Auroras. Kukah hasn't been able to fully establish himself in the squad, with the club more than willing to move him on for the second consecutive season having spent last season on loan at RTU. Another loan move could be a blessing to both parties.
Lukman Abdul Basit
Basit has learned a great deal since he joined the Phobians from Madina based Alsad even if he has struggled for minutes, but considering the competition for places at Hearts, a loan spell away from his parent club may be best. His talent is obvious, but he deserves to be more than a squad player.
Abu Ushau
Big things were expected from Abu Ushau when Juventus beat off competition from some clubs in the division to sign the highly-rated midfielder. However, he has proven to be a major flop so far at Hearts.
It is understood that if Hearts receive an acceptable bid they will consider selling Ushau before the deadline. Nsoatreman FC are interested.
Charles McCarthy
Another player who was so hyped to be the next big thing for Hearts, but has turned to a shadow of himself. Save for niggling injuries that often hamper his comebacks, McCarthy might need to start thinking of saying his goodbyes to Hearts in search of a regular playing time to save his career.
Wisdom Bumekpor
Hearts have the deepest central and attacking midfield in all of Ghana, with a number of quality backups in the position who would walk into most other teams in the division.
As a result, Hearts could allow some players to leave to free up space and the most likely option are Wisdom Bumekpor, who was recently unveiled as the club's new recruit.
