Asante Kotoko return on winning ways with an important 2-1 victory over Young Apostles in outstanding match-day six fixture of the Ghana Premier League.

Two second-half goals from Hubert Gyau and captain Samba O’Neil were enough to hand the Reds a vital win to return on winning ways after recent two-game drawing streak.

The Porcupine Warriors were on top in the game having dominated in so many aspects with some attempts made but no goal was registered.

In the dying embers of the first-half, Guinean striker Morifing Donzo came so close to scoring but his brave header from Acquah Amidu’s cross went off the upright.

In the second half, Asante Kotoko opened the scoring account in just six minutes from recess through Hubert Gyau who struck into the net after a huge clanger from goalkeeper Frank Boateng

Just two minutes after going down, Young Apostles scored through Richmond Opoku to return to level things up leaving a very open game.
