Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara has expressed confidence in his players, stating they remain humble and committed to preparing for their Ghana Premier League clash against Dreams FC, despite their recent win over Young Apostles.
The Phobians showcased a spirited performance to secure a 2-1 victory against the newly promoted side last weekend in Wenchi, as they gear up for their upcoming match against Dreams FC. Hearts of Oak aims to achieve back-to-back wins for the first time this season when they play away against the struggling Still Believe lads at the Tuba AstroTurf in Kasoa on Sunday.
While Dreams FC remains winless this season, Hearts of Oak is unbeaten in their last four games.
When asked about the impact of the win against Young Apostles, Ouattara noted, “The solidarity is there already. The team spirit is there, but we see from that match that the boys are still humble and working hard. And one of the advantages is that all the players know now that everybody can play, and everybody can score. That's one of the achievements; that spirit is coming along slowly.”
He added, “It's not, what do you call it, high backs. It's the beginning, I think. We can encourage the boys, and we need that encouragement.”
As they prepare for the game, Hearts of Oak sits ninth on the Ghana Premier League table with eight points, while Dreams FC is struggling in second from bottom with just three points from six matches.
