The Burkinabe gaffer has ripped the duo over his failed stint with the Kumasi-based club as he is convinced that they were against his appointment as an expatriate
Former Asante Kotoko coach Seydou Zerbo has made a damning allegations against former assistant coach Abdulai Gazale and goalkeepers' trainer Issah Najahu.
In an explosive radio interview, the Burkinabe import manager claimed that, the duo did everything within their powers to sabotage his work in the dugout as he was finally shown the exit during the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League campaign.
That notwithstanding, the former RC Kadiogo manager believes the Ghanaian technical bench duo were "enemies of progress" who succeeded in plotting his downfall given their connivance over misinterpretations of information to the playing body during his time at the helm.
The 60-year-old fumed in an interview with Kumasi-based radio Fox FM: "Communication was not that a problem for me but you know it was a bit complicated but when I arrived at the club there was Moise Pouaty who did the translation for me and later physical trainer Nasim Islam arrived too from Algeria and he also facilitated the communication as he spoke English too. So the communication with the players went well. There was no problem with that,"
"But the biggest problem I faced at Kotoko was Abdulai Gazale and Issah Najahu who did not accept my arrival at all. They did everything to make sure I fail. They are enemies of progress who plotted my downfall. They spent their time to make things difficult for me and Islam Nazim at Kotoko."
“When I tell them (Gazale and Najahu) something to tell the players , they intentionally tell the players different things entirely. They were not professional at all in my opinion."
