The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has received an official letter from Nsoatreman FC announcing their withdrawal from the ongoing Ghana Premier League due to safety concerns for their players.
In the letter, signed by the club’s president and sent via the club’s official email on March 14, 2025, Nsoatreman FC cited recent incidents in their matches against Asante Kotoko SC and FC Samartex 1996 as key reasons for their decision.
The club stated that they could no longer guarantee the safety of their players, leading management and the board to take the drastic step of exiting the league.
The GFA engaged the club in discussions regarding the matter but was unable to resolve the situation. As a result, the association has activated the relevant provisions of the competition regulations and has referred the case to the GFA Prosecutor for disciplinary proceedings.
These proceedings will follow the regulations outlined in Article 13(5), which states that if a club withdraws from the league after it has commenced, all scheduled matches involving that club shall be considered forfeited.
Consequently, three points and three goals will be awarded to the opposing team for each of Nsoatreman FC’s remaining fixtures.
Effective immediately, every scheduled opponent of Nsoatreman FC will receive an automatic 3-0 victory for unplayed matches in accordance with league regulations.
