Hearts of Oak supporters had every reason to celebrate as midfielder Abdul-Aziz Nurudeen marked his return to the pitch after a one-year absence caused by a serious thigh injury.
Nurudeen, who had been sidelined from the Phobians' lineup since May 2022 due to this injury, had to undergo surgery in South Africa. Following an extensive period of rehabilitation, the former Black Meteors midfielder made a complete recovery and rejoined the team's training sessions last month.
In a preseason friendly against Vision FC at the All Nations Park in Koforidua, Nurudeen made a cameo appearance from the bench and played a pivotal role in his team's 3-1 victory.
Fans were ecstatic to have their midfielder back as they eagerly looked forward to the new season.
Prior to his injury, Nurudeen had been a vital player in the Hearts of Oak midfield, making significant contributions to the team's success in both the 2022 President's Cup and FA Cup.
With his return, Nurudeen is determined to reclaim his pivotal role and assist the team in the upcoming season.
