Mohammed Alhassan believes the long break for the World Cup in Qatar has provided him and his teammates time to recharge and rejuvenate before Hearts of Oak's Ghana Premier League campaign resumes on Monday, December 19, 2022.
With the World Cup now reaching the quarter-final stage, Ghana Premier League teams are already preparing to return to domestic club football with a busy football schedule.
The Ghanaian top tier was becalmed after eight-round of matches that saw Aduana Stars sitting top of the log with sixteen points, with Accra Hearts of Oak lurking on the fifth spot with thirteen points.
Mohammed, together with his teammates, led by coach Slavko Matic resumed training last week Monday ahead of the resumption of the Ghana Premier League.
“Personally, I feel refreshed after that break. I think that should go for all the players as well. It was a good rest for us all. So far, it’s been excellent and we are positive that when the League starts, we will give a good account of ourselves.
"Everyone will want to play a part in the games but it all depends on what you do at the training grounds and what the coaches want to see. It’s teamwork so we work together as a team and succeed together as a team.
"We are all working for the betterment of this team so whoever gets the opportunity to feature in any of the games knows very well that they have to give off their very best. For me, my focus is clear and that is to always give my best. I believe in my capabilities and I know the fans appreciate me as well," he added.
