Hohoe United say they are still waiting for a response from the Ghana Football Association after confirming their decision to withdraw from the ongoing Ghana Premier League.
The club’s Administrative Manager, Yussif Alhassan Uthman, said the Pride of Hohoe had formally informed the FA of their position.
The decision, he explained, was taken due to concerns over what the club believes is unfair treatment within the Ghanaian top flight.
“We have officially communicated to the Ghana Football Association, but have yet to receive any response from them,” Uthman told Sporty FM.
He added that the club plans to release a detailed statement to explain its reasons.
“I’m sure by the later closure of the day, we will issue an elaborate press release to cite some of the more reasons why those decisions were taken,” he said.
The FA is expected to respond in the coming days, with uncertainty now surrounding Hohoe United’s future in the Premier League.
Meanwhile, Hohoe United are currently 17th in the league table with 30 points after 27 matches, leaving them in the relegation zone as the season continues.
