Newly-appointed Medeama SC head coach, Ibrahim Anyars Tanko has made his intentions clear after accepting this challenge and that's to win more titles and make the Tarkwa fans happy.

The Mauves and Yellows announced the appointment of Ibrahim Tanko earlier today on a two-and-a-half year deal after a fruitful negotiations.

Tanko, who once handled the Ghana U23 male national team, is joining the 2023 Ghanaian champions after mutually terminating his contract with the capital-based side Accra Lions.

The UEFA licence A holder has completed formalities and replaces technical director Augustine Evans Adotey, who reverts to his original role.

Speaking for the first time, the former Cameroon assistant coach said his tenure at the new TnA Stadium will be filled with nothing but too many successes

“I hope we are all going to enjoy and I’m sure the team will do well. I will tell them [the fans] that I will always give my best and I’m sure at the end they will all be happy,” Coach Ibrahim Tanko shared in an interview with Medi TV.

“We always want to be better. The success is there and like I said I’m here also to achieve something. So before the end of my tenure, I’m sure the cups will be more."

Ibrahim Tanko's first challenge will be against high-flying Legon Cities FC at home on Sunday, February 3, 2025.
