Heart of Lions head coach, Bashir Hayford has sadly chastised Ghanaians for being ungrateful despite his coaching exploits.
Hayford, who is a two-time Ghana Premier League champion made this known on the backdrop after guiding Hearts of Lions to amazingly escape relegation in the just ended season.
Speaking with Joy Sports, the former Somalia national team coach stated that it’s not easy coaching in Ghana as the country is not making use of his footballing knowledge.
"Other countries are making use of their experienced coaches, tapping their knowledge, experience.
“What I see here [Ghana] is they will allow you to struggle and get a job from somewhere and still watch whether you can do it or not. They don't recognize your achievements, performance and experience.
"The only thing is to wait, the day you will die, they will write a very big and nice obituary.”
Hayford was the chief architect when Kotoko won the Ghana Premier League in 2008 before going ahead to win it with Ashantigold in 2015.
The veteran gaffer has since coached Legon Cities and Heart of Lions in the Ghanaian top-flight while also coaching Ghana's Women's U-17 and the Black Queens who were knockout of the group stages at the 2018 Women's Africa Cup of Nations
