Asante Kotoko coach, Prosper Ogum has opened up on the Porcupine Warriors’ struggles despite securing a 2-1 win over Dreams FC.
The Porcupine Warriors managed to annex the victory at the Kasoa Tuba AstroTurf on Saturday afternoon.
Ogum has discussed why he feels Asante Kotoko needed to maintain their structure in the match against the Still Believes.
He said: “I don't think we were down in terms of strength and speed; we were down in terms of endurance.
“We lost our structure somewhere along the line, and sometimes when you lose your structure, it makes it look like we don't have the endurance to continue.
"When we did the substitutions, I think we had some solidity in the middle, we had some balance, we had some stability, and we got the game going, especially in the last 15 minutes.
Ogum also believes that the energy his lads exerted in their derby victory over Hearts of Oak will certainly dwindle against Dreams FC, which really had an effect on his players: "You play a big game like Hearts of Oak, and they exerted a lot of energy on that day, so you expect energy levels to drop, but to me, it wasn't that significant."
