Mohammed Richard Camara is reportedly on the verge of leaving Asante Kotoko at the end of the season after agreeing a pre-contract with South African side Sekhukhune United.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper is set to become a free agent once his current deal expires, clearing the path for a move to the Premier Soccer League (PSL), with the transfer believed to have been arranged by his representatives in South Africa.
Camara joined Kotoko in 2024 on a two-year contract and quickly established himself as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper for much of the campaign. However, his role has diminished in recent weeks, with the shot-stopper missing the club’s last four matches. His most recent appearance came in the Week 25 clash against Karela United.
Despite reduced playing time at club level, Camara remains active on the international stage, having earned a call-up to the Guinea national team for friendly matches against Togo and Benin during the March international window.
The move to Sekhukhune United is expected to be completed at the end of the season, marking a new chapter in the goalkeeper’s career as he prepares to test himself in South African football.
