Former striker of Asante Kotoko Stephen Manu has expressed his satisfaction with how the Porcupine Warriors dazzled to beat Hearts of Oak 1-0 in their Ghana Premier League match-day 13 fixture on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors found themselves trekking on the path of drawing the match but things shifted when goal monger Albert Amoah scored what turned out to be the winner in the 90+5' minute.
The outcome of the fixture threw Asante Kotoko to cloud nine as they secured their sixth win in the league after 13 rounds of matches, so far.
However, Manu believes Kotoko were much better from the onset through to the latter stages, adding their opponents only created some good moments in the game in the opening stages.
“Kotoko dominated Hearts of Oak, who have been in fine form. They should have beaten Hearts with a four goal margin if they had been prolific enough. Kotoko should have collapsed the Hearts team by scoring a lot of goals, but the outcome wasn't disappointing. A win is a win,” Manu told Kessben FM as quoted by Ghanasoccernet.
“For sure, no doubt. I’m convinced Kotoko can win the Premier League considering their performance in the Super Clash. They can win the league hands down if the right things are done."
The victory saw the Porcupine Warriors climb to sixth with twenty-one points, while Hearts of Oak fell backwardly to seventh on 19 points.
Kotoko will travel to face cellar dwellers' Dreams FC in their matchday 14 fixture at Tuba AstroTurf in Accra on Saturday, December 21.
