Head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani has urged the hierarchy of Hearts of Oak to intensify efforts to resolve the club’s transfer ban, stressing that lifting the restriction is crucial to strengthening the squad and improving performances on the pitch.

Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM, Dramani made it clear that while his primary responsibility is technical and tactical matters, the ongoing ban continues to limit his options as the season progresses.

“My work is on the pitch while the hierarchy of the club is dealing with external issues, but then I hope the transfer ban will be resolved so I can bring in players who can help strengthen the team,” Dramani said.

The Phobians have been unable to register new players due to the ban, a situation that has forced the coaching staff to rely heavily on the existing squad despite concerns over depth, injuries and consistency. With the Ghana Premier League campaign becoming increasingly competitive, Dramani believes reinforcements are necessary if Hearts are to remain competitive across all fronts.

Since taking charge, the former Black Stars assistant coach has focused on improving team organisation, intensity and discipline, often praising the commitment of his current crop of players. However, he has repeatedly hinted that a lack of squad depth has made rotation difficult, particularly during congested fixtures.

Dramani’s comments place renewed spotlight on the club’s management to swiftly address the off-field issues responsible for the ban. Supporters have also grown increasingly vocal, calling for clarity and decisive action from the board to prevent the situation from undermining the team’s ambitions.

Despite the challenges, Dramani remains professional and measured, refusing to use the ban as an excuse for poor results. Instead, he has emphasized unity between the technical team and management, insisting that resolving the issue would allow everyone to focus on a shared objective.

“Once those issues are sorted out, my job becomes easier because I can bring in players who fit what we want to do and push the team forward,” he added.

As Hearts of Oak continue their campaign, all eyes will now be on the club’s hierarchy to see whether the transfer ban can be lifted in time to give Dramani the reinforcements he believes are needed to drive the Phobians back to consistent success.
