Steven Gurah assessed the ruins of Medeama SC defeat at Accra Lions and insisted his stuttering side will emerge from the rubble to salvage their troubled season.
The Yellow and Mauves crashed to a 1-0 loss in the University of Ghana Sports Stadium on Saturday, adding to the growing sense of turmoil around a team that was expected to mount a strong challenge for domestic and continental silverware.
Medeama have lost two and drawn two in their last four games in the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League campaign.
Head coach' Evans Adotey's team are languishing in seventh place in the campaign, already eight points behind leaders Kotoko ahead of their Sunday's match-day 19 clash against Legon Cities at the Tarkwa TNA Stadium.
Speaking after their match against Accra Lions, Coach Gurah spoke about the team’s poor run of form.
"You saw how we played, which means We’re working on something as far as this particular season is concerned. We’re working on something," he said.
“We are working on something to end the run of 4 games without a win against Lions.
"We like to say we are dropping But then I’ll say we have some couple of injuries and though we have equally good players who can, at the end of the day, or any good day, we can fall on them. But then, you know, the opportunity also comes."
Medeama cannot afford another setback against Legon Cities this weekend if they are to remain in the hunt for another Ghana Premier League title after winning the gong in the 2022-23 season.
"But we’re trying to see how best we can fix things up. And then, we’ll say we’re trying to bounce back."
