Young Apostles FC have named former Hearts of Oak assistant coach Abdul Rahim Bashiru as their new head coach until the end of the ongoing 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season.
The Ghana Premier League newbies had to part ways with experienced gaffer Joseph Asare Bediako last month in what is mainly described as poor performance having made a very sloppy start to the campaign.
The Yellow-Blues have been very jittery so far in their debut topflight season and are currently occupying the 12th position on the league log with 13 points; having won just three, drawing four and losing five in their opening twelve matches.
Abdul Rahim Bashiru is a well-known name in the Ghanaian game having preciously served as an assistant coach for Great Olympics, Legon Cities FC and giants Hearts of Oak - where he subsequently earned the interim head coach role following the jettisoning of Dutch gaffer Martin Koopman last year.
He is coming in highly recommended with the experience he's garnered so far and is expected to patch up all cracks as soon as possible to get Young Apostles back on track as the league returns this weekend from the short election break.
They will play as guests to Basake Holy Stars in the next round of matches on Saturday, December 14, at the A.A.K II Sports Arena, Ampain.
