Assistant coach of Hearts of Oak, Nana Yaw Amankwah has commended his players for their hard-fought win over Heart of Lions and are looking to continue with the same momentum heading into their subsequent games.
It was a revenge and redemption time for the Phobians last night at the Legon Stadium after securing a narrow 1-0 win over the Giant Killers in what was an exciting match-day 19 opener of the Ghana Premier League.
The game was really a very difficult one with both teams taking it at each other and made some dangerous goal attempts throughout but it was Mawuli Wayo's second half penalty that made the difference
Hearts of Oak after the precious win have now reinstated themselves back into the top four with 33 points and might drop again or stay based on the outcomes of other matches which will be honoured tomorrow
In a post-match interview on AFA Sports Channel, the experienced gaffer described why their new-boy Seth Osei was made to operate in a free role and added they are hoping to continue improving in terms of performance going forward.
"My boys did very well. Seth is now coming, match fitness isn't there so we allowed him to he free. He is very good player and we hoping he gets better going forward."
"Every game is tough in the second round and we hoping to do well like we did in the first round especially with our away games."
