In some ways, the Division One League is a world unto itself. Somewhere no player truly wants to be. Every club, with just a few exceptions, is desperately scrambling to get out. The Premier League, full of recognition, acclaim and prestige, looms tantalisingly close

Whether through achieving a promotion or earning a move, most players are understandably desperate to make the step up. For some, it proves a bridge too far, but there are several who already seem destined to end up there, one way or another.

Kickgh.com has looked at which midfielders could be on the move when the 2021/22 season is finally able to be drawn to a conclusion.

Mohammed Abdul Rahman ( Nsoatreman FC)

If there’s a player in the second-tier worth spending on, it might well be Mohammed Abdul Rahman.

Combining creative flair with the level of instinctive forward play of a striker, he's able to find space anywhere on the pitch. Dynamism and intelligent movement both on and off the ball make him impossible to read, but his influence in the final third stretches beyond setting up his teammates.

Grabbing 15 goals and 15 assists has been immense for his side's promotion charge. With Nsoatreman FC being such a joy to watch this season, simply envisage Rahman as the puppet master in all of it. Pulling the strings, encouraging the movement, and above all, entertaining.

Awuah Dramani (Nkoranza Warriors)

To land the Warriors midfielder, clubs would probably have to break the bank.

Dramani has everything required to go down as one of the all-time great attacking midfielders in this history of Ghana football. He's confident and composed on the ball, aerially dominant and he reads the game well.

The intelligent midfielder bagged 15 goals and nine assists, and won 10 MVP accolades playing a key role for the Nkoranza based club.

Damange Iddrisu Zakari (Tamale City)

A very technically gifted midfielder, Damange Iddrisu Zakari excelled for this term. The assist king has been in inspired form, racking up 18 assists to go with his 7 goals in just 27 league outings for Tamale City in his debut season at the club.

His ability to pick out a teammate has been on show throughout the season, whether it's picking up space in between the lines or drifting out wide, his keen eye for the sublime rarely fails to deliver.

His ability on and off the ball and his impressive technique will certainly be something for clubs to consider.

Evans Osei Wusu ( Tema Youth)

It's impossible to do such an analysis without mentioning the tricky midfielder, who’s the best dribbler in the division.

Dribbling and flair-packed tricks have long been the hallmark of Osei Wusu's game. He can stop and turn on a dime with ease and has a better close control.

Osei Wusu's ability to nimbly get past defenders with step-overs and other impressive footwork and deliver the ball into the net or assist a teammate has made him a fan favorite.

Possessing incredible finesse and grace on the pitch with every backheel, step-over, flick and leap to maintain control of the ball. You kind of have to hate him in that he makes it look so easy.

He scored 20 goals, recorded 8 assists, with 12 MVP accolades in 29 games for his side.

Walid Fuseini Neymar ( Baffour Soccer Academy)

Shocked? He is called Neymar but surprisingly does not play as a forward but as a midfielder. Named after the Brazilian due to his dynamism, skill, and speed on the pitch. His quick feet and top-notch dribbling have earned him admirers in the league.

He joined Baffour Soccer Academy in the second half of the season from Ashantigold SC. In 15 appearances for his new club, he registered 6 assists and won 6 MVP accolades.

He produces magic week in and week out with his loping, meandering runs through opposing defences.

Technically perfect, he can see the field of play as if he is watching football on the TV because his vision is extraordinary.

He lulls defenders into a false sense of security, and would then pull something out of the hat and assist teammates.

He makes his teammates look better and play better because they know they are playing with a genius.

It isn't just his dribbling but his passing, specifically his mastery of the blind pass, something that would do Lakhdar Belloumi proud.

Godfred Atuahene (Liberty Professionals)

The Liberty Professionals skipper has emerged as one of the most exciting young talents in Ghanaian football. His technical ability coupled with an impressive work-rate have seen him become one of the most sought out players in the division.

A classic box-to-box midfielder, Atuahene provides the vital glue in midfield. He can can mop up defensively just as well as he can launch attacking plays.

He always has a trick up his sleeve, even if he hasn't had the best of matches.
