According to German Newspaper Rheinische Post, the aforestated Belgian suitors have tabled the above-mentioned fee for the services of the DR Congo-prospect centre-forward, with his German parent club open to cashing in on him to appropriate suitors in the next transfer window.

lt is understood that FC Sion are also hell-bent to extend the loan deal of the teenage sensation at the end of the current campaign. However, with the offer being made by their European competitors over the pursuit of their loanee youngster, those in charge of recruitment at the Stade de Tourbillon have reportedly tabled a bid of €3 million for Boteli in an effort to retain him on a permanent basis for the 2026-27 season.
Since linking up with the Sion-based club on a season-long loan in the summer of 2025, the budding star has so far taken in 34 appearances by netting 9 times and setting up another 1 for FC Sion across all contests in this ongoing football season.

Given his Congolese heritage, the Geneva-born native youth star still remains eligible to switch nationality allegiance and play for the DR Congo national football team at the senior level having played for the Switzerland national youth teams in his international career so far.
