Coach James Kwasi Appiah has received full authority to select his own backroom staff by the Sudanese Football Association.
The former Ghanaian international is set to officially sign a three-year contract to assume the role of head coach for Sudan. His official unveiling is scheduled for Sunday, October 8 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
The Sudanese Football Association has granted the 63-year-old coach the autonomy to appoint his own supporting staff.
Kwasi Appiah is already familiar with Sudanese football, having previously served as the head coach of Al Khartoum in December 2014.
During his earlier stint, he led the team to a commendable fourth-place finish in the league and secured qualification to the CAF Confederation Cup.
In the subsequent season, he guided the club to achieve its highest points tally in a single season, amassing 65 points, although they narrowly missed qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup.
Kwasi Appiah's most recent prominent coaching role was with the Ghana national team, where he embarked on a second term from 2017 to 2020.
