Those at the upper echelon of the Weserstadion campaigners have affirmed the interest from suitors for the services of their talented teenage sensation of lvorian heritage ahead of the upcoming transfer window
Head of First Team Football at Bundesliga club Werder Bremen, Peter Niemeyer, says his outfit are aware that interested clubs are shooting admiring glances at their German-born lvorian teenager Karim Coulibaly in an effort to land him in the summer.
The 18-year-old, who has been sensational for Die Werderaner since being drafted into the first-team this term, is destined to sever ties with his parent club given the magnificent interest from suitors across Europe, with elite division top guns including Chelsea, PSG, Newcastle United, Napoli and Marseille all being credited with a move for his signature ahead of the summer transfer window.
And now reacting over the speculation linking the nimble left-footed defender to suitors, the German football administrator has said as quoted by KICKER: ''We are aware that there is movement regarding this player (Karim Coulibaly), but there is currently no indication of what the next steps might be or whether it will happen as early as this summer. It's obvious that a player with this profile would attract a lot of interest and attention.''
With his glaring potential as a promising budding star, those vying for his signature are to splash a fee of €40-45 million on his head if they are to secure him going forward.
He has so far witnessed 22 appearances by scoring once for Werder Bremen across all competitions in this current 2025-26 football season.
Given his lvorian heritage, the Oldenburg-born centre-back still remains fit to play for the Cote d'Ivoire national football team on the international stage after playing for the Germany national youth teams.
