Arsenal are reportedly reigniting their interest in Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus as they look to bolster their attacking options in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Gunners are eager to add depth after struggling with injuries to key players like Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz, and Gabriel Jesus throughout the season.
Kudus, currently at West Ham United, has long been on Arsenal’s radar. According to reports from talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook, the Gunners are showing “fresh interest” in the 24-year-old ahead of the 2025 summer window. Crook noted that West Ham are open to selling Kudus to raise funds, although it remains “unlikely” Arsenal will activate his £90 million release clause.
This follows previous reports from Football Insider in November, which indicated that Arsenal had sent scouts to monitor Kudus’ performances closely, maintaining a long-term interest in the player. However, the club is reportedly waiting to “see more” before making a final decision on a formal approach.
Kudus joined West Ham from Ajax in 2023 and, while showing flashes of brilliance, has had a challenging season amid inconsistent team performances. Despite this, he has remained a regular starter, featuring in all 29 of his Premier League appearances this campaign, scoring four goals and registering three assists.
Mohammed Kudus – Season Statistics:
Season | Appearances | Goals | Assists |
---|---|---|---|
2024/25 | 32 | 4 | 3 |
2023/24 | 48 | 18 | 10 |
With Arsenal keen to add versatility and creativity to their frontline, Kudus could fit the profile, especially with his ability to play across various attacking roles. Whether the North London club will meet West Ham’s financial demands remains to be seen, but the interest in the Ghana international is clearly alive.
