Former Ghana international Kwesi Appiah has rejoined English side Ebbsfleet United on a one-year contract ahead of the 2025–26 season.
The 34-year-old striker returns to his boyhood club after a prolific campaign with Boreham Wood, where he scored 24 goals to help the side earn promotion to the National League.
Appiah is expected to lead the line for Ebbsfleet, who currently compete in the National League South, as the club targets a return to the fifth tier of English football.
“I cherished starting my career here and it was a really important ingredient in coming back,” Appiah said. “Now I’m hoping to achieve a very successful season for the team and the club... and it’s why I’m driven to score goals and to drive the standards around the club.”
The veteran forward made his first-team debut for Ebbsfleet in 2008, scoring once in five appearances before moving on in 2009. He later played for a number of English clubs, including Crystal Palace, AFC Wimbledon, and Crawley Town. His time in the Premier League was hampered by injuries.
Appiah also spent a season in the Indian Super League with NorthEast United FC before returning to English football.
Capped seven times by Ghana, Appiah featured at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, where the Black Stars finished as runners-up.
