England legend and a staunch Leicester City fan, Gary Lineker has described Ghana's Abdul Fatawu Issahaku as a special player who should be making the starting line up in all their matches from now henceforth.
He made these comments following Fatawu's outstanding display over the weekend in their 2-3 comeback win over Southampton in the Premier League.
The 20-year-old didn't make the starting XI but was subsequently introduced to replace Danish international Victor Kristiansen in the 51st minute and came on to make a very instant impact.
Fatawu started the fightback by assisting Facundo Buonanotte for their first coupled with two other goals from Jamie Vardy and his compatriot Jordan Ayew to secure all three points.
The mercurial wideman lasted only 31 minutes in the game but had the most final third touches (7) in the game.
Speaking on BBC Match of the Day, the former Three Lions and FC Barcelona star says Fatawu is so special and his introduction into the game propelled Leicester City to claiming all three points after full time.
"What a comeback. What a win. The game really changed when Fatawu came on. As a Leicester fan, my kids all follow Leicester as well. Everytime we see the team sheet now and he's not on it. We all go, oh not again. Why is he not playing. This kid is special."
Leicester City will host Nottingham Forest in the next round of matches at the King Power Stadium on October 25.
