The promising winger of Ghanaian descent has hinted that he could represent the four-time African champions on the international stage as he is yet to decide on his future over national team assignments
German-born Ghanaian winger Kwadwo Baah has affirmed his readiness to play for Ghana Senior Men's National Team, the Black Stars.
The 22-year-old, currently on the books of English Championship side Watford, remains eligible to switch nationality allegiance and represent the west African nation at a point in time after featuring for the England and Germany national youth teams so far in his footballing career.
However, in an interview with his club's communications network, the former Crystal Palace Youth star has said he could play for the west African giants, with the two European nations also being considered for national assignments going forward.
He told watfordfc.com: ''I could play for England, Germany or Ghana. Obviously with the football I’m playing I hope that I could one day get that recognition. I haven’t really made up my mind which one I’d want to represent! Hopefully the time will soon come when I have to decide.''
He added: ''My dad played in Germany for quite a while and I was born in Stuttgart. I lived there for not that long, maybe one or two years, and then we went to Ghana for a bit before coming to England where I’ve been basically my whole life. I grew up in South Norwood.''
Baah had a breakthrough season with the former Premier League campaigners this term after netting 5 goals and assisting 3 in 31 appearances for Watford across all competitions in the just ended 2024-25 campaign.
His assertion will now come as a refreshing news to the tough-talking manager Otto Addo as he continues to monitor players of Ghanaian origin abroad in his bid to beef up his squad, with a ticket to the 2026 FIFA World Cup tournament set to be secured come after the qualifiers.
