As the Black Stars get set for their crucial FIFA World Cup qualifiers in March, Ghana Football Association (GFA) President, Kurt Okraku and Black Stars Management Committee Vice Chairman, Stephen Appiah have begun an important phase of team preparations.
The duo recently visited injured defender, Alidu Seidu and some of Ghana's key players, underscoring management's and the coach Otto Addo's commitment to assembling a strong squad for the must-win matches against Chad and Madagascar.
Seidu, who plies his trade in France for Stade Rennes is gradually getting better after his injury, having undergone a successful surgery in December last year.
Addo being maintained as head coach of the Black Stars came amid growing concerns over Ghana's lacklustre performance, missing out on qualification to the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) series for the first time after 20-years.
The team currently sits in a safe second position in Group I, with nine points.
With fans growing increasingly frustrated over inconsistent results, the gaffer Otto Addo hopes to revitalise the team’s fortunes by qualifying to the mundial.
