Ghana striker Antoine Semenyo was on target in AFC Bournemouth pre-season friendly against Arsenal in the United States on Thursday.
Semenyo opened his season's scoring account with a perfect strike against Arteta's side to help AFC Bournemouth secure a 1-1 stalemate at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California.
Arsenal took the lead through Fábio Vieira's volley in the 18th minute of the game before the Ghana international leveled the score in the 73rd minute.
Arsenal won the tie after a 5-4 victory in the penalty shootout when the game failed to produce a winner in regulation time.
The 24-year-old was introduced after the break, while his compatriots, Thomas Partey and Eddie Nketiah, lasted for 63 minutes.
Youngster Daniel Adu-Adjei tasted eight minutes in the game for AFC Bournemouth, with another Ghanaian talent, Charles Sagoe Jr., also being introduced in the 63rd minute by Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta.
Adu-Adjei and Sagoe Jr. are both in line for first-team promotion at AFC Bournemouth and Arsenal, respectively, in the upcoming season.
