After battling recurring injury for the past three seasons, the 27-year-old feels he is now in a stable health condition as he looks forward to facing his former employers in the German top-flight this weekend
Ghanaian striker Ragnar Ache has shed light on his current physical health as he posited that he ''now feels physically fitter than ever'' ahead of his side's Bundesliga clash with Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday.
The forward had a spell with the Die Adler to forget since joining them from Dutch outfit Sparta Rotterdam during the summer of 2020 given his injury setback. However, said recurring injury also took its toll on him during his time with second tier campaigners FC Kaiserslautern.
With Ache now on the books of Bundesliga side FC Köln, the Ghana-prospect attacker is now relishing the opportunity of facing his former employers given his current physical health, telling EXPRESS.de: ''I was there [ Eintracht Frankfurt] for two years, but I didn’t really play,'' he began by recollecting his time with the Frankfurt-based club.
He continued: ''It wasn't just like that in Frankfurt, but also in Kaiserslautern. Whenever I was on a good run, another injury would crop up. That throws you off your rhythm. Hopefully it will be different this year. I always want to score goals, and when it finally happens, all the emotions come out. It was a wonderful feeling. It was difficult to settle in at first. Everything was new to me, and that took some time. Now l feel physically fitter than ever.''
Ache has so far netted 2 goals and assisted 5 in 12 games for FC Köln across all competitions in this ongoing 2025-26 football season.
Given his Ghanaian heritage, the Frankfurt am Main-born striker still remains fit to switch allegiance and represent Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Germany U21 national youth team.
