The attacking midfielder's resurgence of form has left his team-mate impressed as he believes the 28-year-old would be of great help to his side in their bid to avoid the drop in the league standings at the end of this campaign

Belgian and  RAAL La Louvière midfielder Sami Lahssaini has hailed his Ghanaian team-mate Majeed Ashimeru for his individual qualities so far in the Belgian Pro League.

After joining up with the Easi Arena campaigners on loan from RSC Anderlecht during the winter window, the former Red Bull Salzburg midfielder has rediscovered his top form with the newly-promoted top division side, with his team-mates now banking their hopes on him to lead them in avoiding relegation at the end of the current football season.

Given his remarkable performances in their last outing at home against Antwerp, the Belgian-born Moroccan midfielder is now oozing with confidence that, with the presence of the WAFA academy graduate, his side would be in a strong position to maintain their Premiership status given his unique qualities on the field of play.

The 27-year-old midfielder has said of the Ghanaian attacking midfielder to Walfoot: ''You can see that Majeed is a real asset when he has the ball. With more rhythm, he's going to be an even bigger help. In a La Louvière midfield that sometimes lacks a bit of creativity, Ashimeru certainly has that extra something.''

Ashimeru has so far taken in 4 appearances for RAAL La Louvière in this ongoing Belgian Pro League campaign.

With the 2026 FIFA World Cup fast approaching, the 12-time capped Ghana international midfielder will now be in a strong contention to make it to the global football event in June this year given his resurgence of top form.
