The man on the touchline at the MHPArena refused to point accusing fingers at his Ghanaian budding star following his gaffe in their defeat to top-flight rivals over the weekend

VfB Stuttgart boss Sebastian Hoeneß has said German-born Ghanaian winger Justin Diehl is at no fault over his loose ball that resulted to Wolfsburg equalizer in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

After being introduced into the game on the 70th minute, the talented winger gifted the visitors the ball that led to their equalizer via Portuguese forward Tiago Tomás to make the scoreline 1-1 after Nick Woltemade put the home side ahead on the 72nd minute.

It was a tough afternoon for the 20-year-old promising winger as he burst out in tears when the visitors eventually snatched a 2-1 victory at the end of the contest.

However, with the budding star's acerbic episode over the encounter, his manager has jumped to his defense as he feels the former FC Cologne youth graduate cannot be faulted for their defeat on the day.

The German gaffer is quoted as saying by German tabloid Bild-Zeitung: ''He was worried about losing the ball. That shows very well how the boy ticks. I have to say explicitly that he is the least to blame for this goal. In this zone you can lose balls, that's why I want to take him out of there completely."

Diehl, who just returned from injury, has so far netted 1 goal and provided 1 assist in 11 games across all competitions for VfB Stuttgart in this ongoing football campaign.

Given his Ghanaian heritage, he still remains fit to play for Ghana Senior Men's National Team, the Black Stars at the international level having played for Germany U16, U18, U19 & U20 national youth teams.
