The Ghana international has penned a three-year deal in the capital for an undisclosed fee as the capital club add to their goalkeeping ranks ahead of the new season.

Hibernian manager Lee Johnson expressed his delight after securing the signing of goalkeeper Jojo Wollacott from Charlton Athletic.

The Easter Road side completed the deal, bringing Wollacott to the club on a three-year contract for an undisclosed fee.

Wollacott, who made 20 appearances for Charlton last season, brings valuable experience from playing in the lower divisions of English football. Additionally, he has represented the Ghana national team, earning 11 senior caps, showcasing his abilities on the international stage.

With Hibernian set to compete domestically and in European competitions in the upcoming campaign, Johnson emphasized the importance of strengthening the goalkeeping department. He highlighted Wollacott's athletic, brave, and confident attributes, expressing his excitement to work with the goalkeeper once again.

“We’re delighted to bring Jojo to the Club and I’m looking forward to working with him again,” Johnson said.

“He’s a player I’ve known for some time and it’s great to see that he’s starting to fulfil his potential. He now has over 100 games under his belt and has played on the international stage with Ghana.

“He’s an athletic, brave, and confident goalkeeper, and with big competitions coming up it’s important we’re strong in the goalkeeping department.”

Following his arrival, Wollacott wasted no time and joined his new teammates and goalkeeping coach Stuart Garden in preparations for the forthcoming Scottish Premiership season and the Europa Conference League qualifiers, scheduled for later next month.

With Wollacott's addition, Hibernian's squad gains both strength and depth, providing them with enhanced capabilities as they look forward to the challenges that lie ahead.
