Orlando Pirates striker Kwame Peprah is determined to play his way into the hearts of the Black Stars technical handlers, saying he deserves a spot in the team due to his explosive performance in the South African Premier Division.

The 21-year-old who is a former captain of King Faisal believes his time to be a top goal skanker for the Ghana national team is at hand, and he hopes his current form will earn him his first cap with Otto Addo's side.

Peprah is enjoying a glittering season in South Africa where he has netted nine goals in 32 games for the Buccaneers.

“Looking at my stats and performance for Orlando Pirates this season, I think I have done enough to have a call up. It’s also, about, time. The management and officials at the FA know best so I think in due time when it is my time, I will get a call-up,” Peprah told TV3.

Peprah featured for Pirates in the Confederations Cup finals for the first time in seven years, but they were beaten on penalties by RSB Berkane.

“We went all out for the trophy. In the group stages, we came top. We went through the quarter and semi-finals.

"When we got to the final and we were not able to be crowned champions, it was very disappointing. I still feel bad. I know next season we’ll win more trophies for the club,” Peprah added.
