English-born Ghanaian international, Jeffrey Schlupp is looking forward to their herculean tie against Bayern Munich just recently and marked his debut last night in their emphatic 6-0 home win over Dundee FC in the Premiership.
The Hoops were ruthless throughout having taken the game under their total control and won handsomely to move 66 points clear at the top after 25 matches, 13 adrift second-place and bitter rivals Rangers.
The 32-year-old switched to the Celtic Park on loan for the remainder of the season from Premier League side Crystal Palace and is looking forward to playing much and also help the club achieve successes.
He finally marked his debut last night after coming on as a substitute in the 72nd minute taking the place of Scottish lateral Greg Taylor.
Jeffrey Schlupp knows what is at stake and will have to work extra harder if he wants to become a mainstay at the club and has already stated he is ever ready for the challenge.
Speaking in an interview, the energetic lateral just can't wait for the experience and will look forward to helping Celtic win and cruise into the round of 16 of the competition.
“I’ve watched the other Champions League games and the boys have performed so well in it,” he said.
“To be able to get a draw like Bayern Munich is very exciting for the fans and everyone involved with the club but, again, it’s a game that we’re obviously going to go and try to win.
“As much as enjoying the experience, it’s a game that we want to win and try to get through the play-offs.
Celtic FC will host the six-time European champions on February 12, for the first leg of the playoffs.
