Belgian Pro League club RAAL La Louvière have officially announced the acquisition of Ghanaian striker Jerry Afriyie for the 2025-26 season's campaign.

Afriyie joined the newly promoted side on a season-long loan deal from Saudi Pro League outfit Al Qadsiah after passing a mandatory medical tests.

He is expected to integrate quickly into the RAAL La Louvière's setup early in the 2025–26 campaign, which is the club's first top-flight season in nearly two decades.

Afriyie's journey began at Ghanaian lower-division side Thoughts FC, where his performances earned him a sensational move to Al Qadsiah in January 2025 on a three-and-a-half-year deal running until the summer of 2028.

The Ghana U20 star was farmed out by the Saudi Arabian club to spend last season at Spanish lower-tier side CD Lugo, where he delivered a standout performance.

Despite CD Lugo's promotion failure, Afriyie was outstanding with six-goal involvements – 4 goals and 2 assists – in 10 appearances for the club.

The 18-year-old was an integral member of the Black Satellites squad that won gold at the 2023 African Games and was also adjudged the best player and emerged as top scorer in the 2024 WAFU Zone B U-20 Championship.

Afriyie is currently a member of the senior national team of Ghana, Black Stars, and had a goal in his debut against Niger in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

He is expected to earn a call-up for the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Chad and Mali next month.

RAAL La Louvière was re-founded in 2017, and their comeback to the top-tier competition has been remarkable, climbing from the fifth tier and securing promotion to the Belgian Pro League for the 2025–26 season, just eight years after its revival and ending a 19-year absence from the top-flight league.

Currently, the Stade du Tivoli outfit sits above the relegation zone (12th position) with just three points from their last four league matches.
