Former Ghana head coach Chris Hughton says Tottenham Hotspur made a superb piece of business by signing Mohammed Kudus in the summer,
Hughton went ahead to praise both the club’s foresight and the midfielder’s seamless transition into Ange Postecoglou’s side.
Spurs brought in seven new players during the window, but Kudus has been the most impressive in terms of immediate impact. His performances have already earned him a place in WhoScored’s Team of the Season so far, with many now viewing the £55 million fee as a bargain.

Hughton, speaking to Flashscore, applauded Tottenham’s move and the manner in which the Ghanaian has settled into his new surroundings.
“I think it was an excellent signing,” Hughton said. “The deal for Kudus made a lot of sense, especially from a financial perspective. Tottenham needed a player of his profile. It’s a big stadium, a big stage in England, and he’s started his Tottenham career very well. He fits seamlessly into a system that favours crosses into the box.”
Kudus endured a difficult end to his West Ham spell last season after a bright start, but the 24-year-old appears fully revitalised at Tottenham, where he is thriving under the freedom and trust afforded by head coach Thomas Frank, who encourages him to take risks in possession.
