The former Right to Dreams Academy star has sealed a move to the American top-flight league outfit for the next season’s campaign.
Major League Soccer side Nashville SC have announced the signing of Ghanaian defender Maxwell Woledzi from Fredrikstad FK for an undisclosed fee.
The 24-year-old, who has spent three seasons in Norway with Fredrikstad FK, has signed a three-year deal with an option for 2029 with the MLS side.
"Maxwell is a tremendous player and leader who will be a great addition to our club," Nashville SC president of soccer operations and general manager Mike Jacobs said in a club release. "We are excited to be able to add him to our group for the 2026 season."

Woledzi was the Fredrikstad FK player of the year this season and was named to the Eliteserien Team of the Year in 2024. He made 88 appearances for the club during his three-year stay.
The former FC Nordsjaelland defender will take up an international roster spot for Nashville pending his visa.
Why Maxwell Woledzi transfer is a big relief for Nashville SC
The Ghanaian center-back, who is one of the best in Europe, will help Nashville fill the hole left behind by Walker Zimmerman, who will depart the club when he becomes a free agent in December.
He's likely to compete for a spot alongside Jeisson Palacios or Jack Maher on Nashville's top pairing. Josh Bauer and Chris Applewhite are the club’s other center backs.
Woledzi has a vast experience in European football, having stints with FC Nordjaelland in Denmark and Portuguese side Vitoria SC.
He is in line for a call-up to the senior national team of Ghana under coach Otto Addo and his acquisition will stabilize the back line of Nashville SC in their 2026 season’s campaign.
