England legend Alan Shearer has heaped praise on Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus following his impressive start to life at Tottenham Hotspur under new manager Thomas Frank.
Kudus, who made the switch from West Ham United in the summer, has quickly established himself as a key figure for Spurs, starting every game this season after enjoying a full pre-season with the North London outfit.
The 25-year-old was once again instrumental at the weekend, registering two assists as Tottenham battled from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw against Brighton at the Amex Stadium.
Frank singled out Kudus for his excellent link-up play and one-v-one ability, describing him as a vital asset to his system. Shearer echoed that assessment on The Rest is Football podcast.
“Kudus did well again. He’s a real threat, isn’t he? Yeah, 2-0 down, they were always going to take 2-2, but I thought they were worthy of a point. Thomas Frank has made a really good start there,” said the former Newcastle United striker.
Kudus’s early-season form has been remarkable, with the Ghanaian already racking up four assists in just five Premier League appearances for Spurs—just one shy of his total tally across the entire 2024/25 campaign with West Ham.
