Östers IF sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg has hailed Ghanaian defender Kingsley Gyamfi, with the 21-year-old centre-back being branded as ''a damn good guy''  and ''a damn good footballer'' given his impressive performances in this ongoing Swedish top-flight campaign.

The MSK Zilina Africa FC product, who is owned by fellow Allsvenskan side Hammarby lF, joined the Växjö-based club on a season-long loan deal for the 2025 top division contest.

Given his outstanding outings so far this term, those in charge of the Visma Arena campaigners are keen on retaining his services beyond the summer as they have the option of making the loan deal permanent at the end of the season.

Sporting director Mikael Hjelmberg has been left impressed with the Ghanaian defender over his loan stint and has touted his talent thereby branding him as a damn good guy and a damn good footballer after establishing himself as a first-teamer with his side so far, telling Fotbollskanalen: ''There is an option between us and Öster. Ultimately, Kingsley decides where he wants to play.''

He added:  ''He's done well. He's a damn good guy and a damn good footballer. He's had to play more right-back than centre-back, which is his basic position, but has handled both positions well. He's taken the chance. We have a season-long loan and I won't talk about the details of that.''

Gyamfi has so far been involved in 6 games for Osters IF in this ongoing Allsvenskan 2025 football campaign.

He has been tipped as the next big thing to happen to Ghana football on the international stage given his magnificent talent as an upcoming youngster.
