Bofoakwa Tano’s struggles have deepened as the once-prominent Ghanaian side has been relegated to Division Two, following a disappointing 7th-place finish in Zone One B of the 2024/25 Access Bank Division One League.

The Sunyani-based club, who were relegated from the Ghana Premier League just last season, have now suffered consecutive demotions in two years, marking a dramatic fall from grace. Bofoakwa managed just 28 points from 28 games, with a goal difference of -10, leaving them second from bottom in their group and below the safety line.

Despite early hopes of bouncing back to the top flight, the team struggled for consistency throughout the campaign, often looking vulnerable at the back and lacking a cutting edge in attack. Their form collapsed further in the second round of the season, sealing their fate with weeks to spare.

Zone One B was topped by Techiman Eleven Wonders with 53 points, while Dormaa Unity and Tano Liberty Youth followed closely in the race for promotion. However, for Bofoakwa, the focus now shifts to rebuilding in Ghana’s third tier — a daunting challenge for a club with such rich history and passionate fan support.
