The 21-year-old talented stopper of Ghanaian descent has extended his stay at the Danish top-flight outfit until the next three football seasons in this ongoing transfer window

Danish Superligaen side FC Nordsjaelland have announced a three-year contract extension with Ghanaian youngster Jonas Jensen-Abbew, with the current deal set to expire in 2026.

The talented centre-back, who enjoyed a successful loan spell with second division side HB Köge during the first half of last season's campaign, is set to feature prominently for his side  ahead of the 2023/24 football season.

Announcing the deal with the 21-year-old defender, the Right to Dream Park outfit have said via their club's official website: "The 21-year-old centre-back Jonas "AJ" Jensen-Abbew and FC Nordsjælland have agreed to extend the collaboration by 3 years."

"After a successful loan spell at HB Køge in the first half of last season, where the young centre-back got a lot of playing time in the second best Danish league, he came back to FC Nordsjælland in January and has continued his good development here in Farum throughout the spring."

"Jonas "AJ" Jensen-Abbew was also at the Superliga team's just-ended training camp in Austria, which offered, among other things, a starting place against Olympiakos FC, and now the 21-year-old centre-back can look forward to the start of the season in the 3F Superliga with the contract extension in place."

Born and raised to Ghanaian parents in Denmark, Jensen-Abbew remains eligible to switch allegiance and play for Ghana on the international stage despite playing for the Danish U18 national youth team.
