The ex- Ghana U20 star has completed his move to the Austrian top-tier outfit in this current summer transfer window
Ghanaian winger David Atanga has joined Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC on a two-year deal, with an option of extension to a further season upon its expiration, the club have confirmed.
The former Holstein Kiel loanee, who parted ways with Belgian outfit KV Oostende this summer, is joining the Lavanttal-Arena campaigners on a free transfer ahead of the new football campaign.
An official confirmation over his capturing read; "RZ Pellets WAC announces the signing of 27-year-old winger David Atanga."
"The Ghanaian comes to Lavanttal on a free transfer from the Belgian club KV Oostende. The left-footer came to Austria from RB Ghana in January 2015 and spent the first one and a half years playing for FC Liefering, where he also made a few appearances for FC Red Bull Salzburg in the Bundesliga and in the Champions League and Europa League qualifiers."
"After several loan spells in Austria and Germany, the left-footer spent the last three seasons at KV Oostende, where he scored eleven goals and provided two assists in 74 appearances."

The 27-year-old had this to tell his new club after sealing his move; "I'm glad that the transfer to WAC worked out and I'm looking forward to getting to know my new teammates and the coaching staff. I will try to integrate myself into the team as quickly as possible in order to help the team have a successful season."
The Red Bull Ghana Academy product is not new to the Austrian football competitions after having stints with RB Salzburg, SKN St. Pölten and Admira Wacker.
He's yet to earn his international cap with the men's senior national team, the Black Stars.
