The 17-year-old whiz kid, who joined the Amsterdam-based club at a very tender age in 2015, has been splendid with the U17 setup so far this season in the Dutch youth tournament.
With Europe's top guns shooting admiring glances at him, the Johan Cruyff Arena campaigners have now swiftly tied down their jewel to a long-term contract in a bid to secure his future as a budding prospect.
An official confirmation over his first PRO contract read: ''Ajax has signed Pharell Nash. The striker signs a contract that runs until June 30, 2027. It is the first contract for the seventeen-year-old youth player. Nash (Amsterdam, 7 February 2008) has been playing in the Ajax youth academy since 2015. This season, the youth international is part of the Ajax O17 selection. Nash is also captain of the team of trainer Paul Nuijten.''
Ajax sporting director Marijn Beuker was left eulogizing the talent of the teenage sensation after handing him his first professional deal as their academy product, telling the club's official website: Pharell has been playing in our academy for quite some time and is developing excellently. He is a winger who can play both inside and outside. And as a central striker he also frequently finds the goal. Pharell has several weapons: he is technical, can pass well and has depth in his game. He has a great character and as captain of Ajax U17 he is a leader of the team both on and off the field. This first contract is a nice reward, it is now up to Pharell to continue the upward trend.''
Pharell has so far scored 12 goals and bagged 1 assist in 14 games across all competitions for Ajax in this current U17 Division 1 Fall football campaign.
Born to Ghanaian parents in The Netherlands, the nimble left-footed winger remains a future prospect for Ghana on the international stage despite playing for The Netherlands U15 & U17 national youth teams.
