The 28-year-old forward of Ghanaian descent has completed his move to the Danish top-flight campaigners, with his current deal set to run through until the next one-and-a-half-year terms

German-born Ghanaian forward Aaron Seydel has joined Danish Superliga side AaB Aalborg on an 18-month contract in this ongoing January transfer window, the club have confirmed.

The former Mainz O5 striker is linking up with the Aalborg Stadium outfit on a free transfer after leaving German Second-Tier side SV Darmstadt 98 this term.

An official statement over his signing read: ''AaB and Aaron Seydel have signed an 18-month agreement. The 28-year-old German has been out of contract since his contract expired at 2nd Bundesliga club SV Darmstadt 98, where Aaron Seydel contributed ten goals in 65 matches.In total, Aaron Seydel has played 22 1st Bundesliga matches for SV Darmstadt 98 and 1st FSV Mainz 05 respectively.Previously, Aaron Seydel has been listed for 11 U-internationals for Germany, including four U/21 internationals where Seydel scored four times.''

The Ghana-prospect lanky centre-forward had this to tell his new employers right after appending his signature to the deal via the club's official website: '' I have enjoyed training with many talented players in recent days, so I am very happy to be able to make an agreement with a big club like AaB and honored to wear the red and white shirt. There is a good and positive energy in the club with talented players and a talented coaching staff, and I have been welcomed very well by everyone I have met both at the club and in the city.''

''I hope to contribute with my experience from the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga and the third-best division in Germany. As a player, I am a classic striker who can hold the ball, distribute it and is present in the box to score, and I have come here to hopefully score a lot of goals.''As a team, I hope that we grow together and that the club's already good unity with the fans becomes even closer. And of course that we can achieve good results and celebrate many victories together.''

Sporting director James Gow  added: '' Aaron Seydel has made a positive impression in recent days, as expected, and we believe that he can help us. As a type, with his almost two meters, he is a physically strong player, who is good as a playmaker and strong in the air both defensively and offensively, and he is smart in the penalty area and a good finisher.''

Born to a Ghanaian father and German mother in the city of Langen, Germany, the forward could still switch allegiance and play for Ghana at the international level despite playing for the Germany national youth teams.
