The 21-year-old wideman of Ghanaian origin completed his move to the German fourth tier campaigners on transfer deadline day, with his deal set to come to a close in 2027

Regionalliga Nord club SSV Jeddeloh have announced the signing of German-born Ghanaian youngster Said Abbey on a one-and-a-half-year contract.

The ex-SV Werder Bremen U19 star is joining the 53acht-Arena outfit on a free transfer after severing ties with fellow lower division rivals SV Meppen in this just-ended winter transfer window.

A statement over the capturing of the Ghana-prospect winger reads: ''Just before the transfer deadline, we made another move and signed Said Abbey. The 21-year-old attacking player joins us on the coastal canal and has signed a one-and-a-half-year contract.

''Said Abbey hails from the Ammerland region and received his footballing education at SV Werder Bremen. He also gained experience in the Oberliga and Regionalliga with Kickers Emden. An injury recently hampered his development, but Abbey has now fully recovered and will soon rejoin team training.''

Abbey expressed his happiness after linking up with his new side by telling his club's official media channel: ''I am very happy about the opportunity at SSV Jeddeloh II. I come from the region and am happy to be closer to my family again. After my injury, I am fit again and want to help the team on the pitch as soon as possible.”

Sporting director Olaf Blancke added: ''Said is a player we've had our eye on for some time. He fits perfectly with our approach of focusing on developing young players from the region. We're convinced that his dynamism and abilities will be a real asset to us. We've known Said for a while and have followed his career closely. For us, this is a very fitting last-minute signing.''

Given his Ghanaian heritage, the talented winger remains fit to switch nationality allegiance by representing Ghana on the international stage.
