The promising teenage sensation has put pen to paper on a fresh term over extension with the Danish top division outfit, with his new deal to come to a close in 2030
Ghanaian teenager Prince Amoako Junior has signed a long-term contract extension with Danish Superliga side FC Nordsjælland, the club have confirmed.
After joining them from their Ghanaian-based feeder club Right to Dream academy earlier this year, the budding star had already attracted admiring glances among suitors across Europe following his five-star performances so far this season.
However, in a bid to keep their prized asset beyond this summer, the Farum-based club have moved swiftly to tie him down to a long-term contract as he is set to stay for the next five football seasons.
''Prince Amoako Junior has played seven games this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist, and now the 18-year-old winger has added another achievement to his season's CV. The contract has been extended so that it now runs until the summer of 2030, and we can therefore look forward to enjoying much more Prince at Right to Dream Park - something that of course brings joy all around,'' a statement over his contract extension read.
Prince said right after inking his fresh terms, telling the club's official media: ''I feel really good here, and I have had a good start to the season, where I especially enjoy the coaches' trust in me. There is still a lot more I want to achieve with this team, and I and we work on that every single day. I have always loved this place – the culture and the values. So of course it also makes sense for me to extend my contract with the club.''
Director of football at FCN Alexander Riget added: ''We are very happy to be able to offer Prince this new deal – and that he agrees that we have a good collaboration that should continue. We have known Prince for quite some time now, since he started at the Right to Dream academy, and since the beginning of the year we have had the pleasure of having him here in Farum. This new deal should therefore be seen as a sign that we have been very satisfied with his efforts at FC Nordsjælland, just as we always want to show timely care with our young talents.
''At the start of this season and in the first seven games, we have seen a Prince who is constantly eager to improve and prove himself on the pitch. This is reflected in training every single day, and on the weekends the fans have been able to enjoy a player who is constantly putting in the work and is decisive in matches.''
