The 22-year-old defender of Ghanaian origin has sealed his season-long loan move to the English fifth-tier side from the second-tier outfit until the end of the just-started campaign
London-born Ghanaian defender Terrell Agyemang has completed his loan switch to National League club Morecambe FC from Championship side Middlesbrough, the club have confirmed.
The ex-Manchester City U21 star is joining the relegated fourth division side from the Boro U21 team for the entire 2025-26 campaign.
A club's statement read: ''Terrell Agyemang becomes the latest edition to the Morecambe FC team as Ashvir adds to his squad for the 2025/26 season. The full-back who can also play central midfield joins us from Middlesbrough as the 22-year-old makes the move to the Shrimps.
''He spent his youth days with Charlton Athletic, until moving to Manchester City Academy for the 2022/23 season, where he was then involved in the Premier League 2, winning the title.
"Middlesbrough then made their move to sign him in June 2023 in preperation for the new season ahead, then being sent out on loan to Hartlepool United a few months later.''
Manager Ashvir Singh Johal said of Agyemang's signing through his club's official media: ''Terrell is someone I have known about for a long time when he was a young player at Charlton. He was bought by Manchester City was part of the best under 21 team in the country, as they won the Premier League 2 title during his time there. Terrell then joined Middlesborough and had experience in the first team. He's also got experience in the National League and in Scotland."
He continued; "He is someone who we have identified will fit the environment we are trying to create. First and foremost he is a very hard worker, he has a fantastic personality. He is going to be a great fit for the style of play so we're looking forward to seeing how he fits into this team this season."
Given his Ghanaian heritage, he remains eligible to represent Ghana on the international stage.
