The 21-year-old defender completed his transfer move to the Dutch top division side on transfer deadline day
Dutch Eredivisie side PSV Eindhoven have announced the signing of Ghanaian-based Right to Dream Academy product Adamo Nagalo on a five-year deal from Danish top-flight side FC Nordsjaelland.
The Burkina Faso defender is joining the Farmers this summer in order to reinforce their backline options beyond this season.
"PSV is acquiring Adamo Nagalo from FC Nordsjaelland. The 15-time Burkina Faso international signed a contract Monday that ties him to PSV until the summer of 2029," an excerpt of a confirmation over his capturing read.
The lvorian -born stopper had this to say right after putting pen to paper on the long-term deal: "When PSV came along I didn't hesitate for a moment. "PSV is the right club for me at the right time. It's great to be here. I could hardly even sleep last night because I am so much looking forward to this adventure."
"On the ball I am confident and I can play well in service of the team. I want to become the best and therefore invest a lot of time in watching footage back and listening to trainers and fellow players. From childhood, I want to play against the best. That is possible in the Champions League. That's a big step from the Conference League, but if you want to become the best you have to take that challenge."
Sporting director Earnest Stewart added: "After the departure of some players in defense, it was no secret that we wanted to strengthen the rearguard. With the arrival of Rick, Adamo and previously Ryan Flamingo, we succeeded. We had been following Adamo for some time and are particularly charmed by his qualities. He is a strong and fast central defender, who is comfortable on the ball. Adamo can develop even further under our technical staff. From the first moment we had contact with him he showed that he really wants to play for PSV. We think that is important and we like to see that."
Nagalo has so far been cap-tied 15 times by the Burkina Faso men's senior national team.
