German-born Ghanaian centre-forward Richmond Tachie was adjudged the most valuable player in FC Kaiserslautern win over FC Nuremberg in the German DFB Pokal on Tuesday evening.
Tachie scored and provided an assist to propel the Red and Black lads to the DFB Pokal round of eight following a 2-0 win over Nuremberg.
The 24-year-old opened the scoring for the home side with fine strike in the 75th minute after the first half of the game had ended in a scoreless draw.
Three minutes later, he set up his compatriot Ragnar Ache to extend their lead to aid them progress to the next round of the DFB Pokal.
Ragnar Ache, who was introduced into the game in the 64th minute, also has Ghanaian heritage and eligible to play for the West African nation.
Tachie has now scored four goals and provided five assists in 16 appearances for FC Kaiserslautern across all competitions this season so far.
