West Ham United is steadily approaching the signing of Ajax and Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus.

Despite facing two previous rejections by Ajax, the London-based club's pursuit of the highly skilled attacking midfielder is on the brink of completion.

Undeterred by the setbacks, both West Ham's manager, David Moyes, and their technical director, Tim Steidten, are resolute in their desire to bring Kudus to the London Stadium.

As reported by David Ornstein from The Athletic, a third formal offer has been officially submitted to Ajax.

Ornstein stated, "The Premier League club has presented an official offer amounting to €41 million along with €3 million in potential add-ons (£35 million + £2.56 million), which also includes a 10% sell-on clause."

It is anticipated that this proposition will find favor with their counterparts in the Eredivisie. Furthermore, personal terms have been agreed upon for the 23-year-old to sign a five-year contract, with the additional option for a sixth year.

Earlier in the summer, Ajax had previously struck an arrangement with Brighton & Hove Albion, valuing the transfer at an initial €41 million, supplemented by an extra €3 million in add-ons (£35 million + £2.5 million). However, Kudus intervened, causing a delay in the move.

According to The Athletic, there is a growing sense of optimism that Ajax may well accept West Ham's latest proposal.

The proposed agreement also incorporates a 10% sell-on clause. This stipulation ensures that if West Ham were to sell Kudus for €50 million or beyond in the future, Ajax would still receive a financial share.

As West Ham's interest in the Ghanaian player intensifies, the pressure mounted from Manchester City's pursuit of Lucas Paqueta for £85 million has amplified their focus.

While personal terms are expected to be easily resolved, West Ham needs to finalize the intricate details of salary and bonus structures with both Kudus and his representatives.
